EMPOWER RETIREMENT IS PARTNERING WITH LOCAL NONPROFITS
IN ALIGNMENT WITH OUR NFL SPONSORSHIPS
Through our ACT program, we empower our employees to take action now to build a better future for our communities. But our commitment doesn’t end there. We bring that same commitment to our diversity and inclusion efforts, our marketing and brand awareness, and our efforts to reduce our environmental impact.

Feeding Hungry Kids

Denver, CO

Through a collaboration with Food Bank of the Rockies and a former Denver Broncos star, we helped feed 500 low-income children at five schools in Denver every weekend during the 2016-2017 school year.

T
hrough the Totes of Hope® program, kids are given a take-home tote filled with nutritious food designed to keep them fed over the weekend. Our associates joined Karl Mecklenburg to pack and distribute totes throughout the year.

KC Ambassadors

Together with the KC Ambassadors, our Overland Park office hosted a family night for two organizations that provide critical services for kids and families with health issues.

F
amilies from Camp Quality and Kids TLC enjoyed an evening of fun at the Extreme Grand Prix go-kart track.

Twenty of our associates volunteered to help make this night fun by serving food and drinks and helping to set up before and clean up after the event.

Tackling Cancer’s Financial Impact on Families

In partnership with the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, we launched Goal Line Giving, a program designed to provide financial assistance to cancer patients and their families.

W
e donated $100 for every point the New England Patriots scored during the 2016 NFL regular season to the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. The Foundation then used the donation to provide one-time grants to cancer patients in active treatment and their families, allowing them to focus on what is most important: each patient’s treatment and recovery.

Team Smile

In Kansas City, our associates helped brighten the smiles of 300 low-income children in the community.
I

n partnership with the United Way of Greater Kansas City, TeamSmile and the Kansas City Chiefs, we sponsored and volunteered at a one-day dental clinic.

Our associates helped provide fun activities like a coloring station, a reading station and a photo booth for kids while they waited for a checkup.

Teaming Up with Good Sports

We teamed up with nonprofit partner Good Sports, the Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots to make sure all kids have an opportunity to play sports and learn the valuable life lessons competition offers.

T
hrough a grant to Good Sports, we provided thousands of pieces of sporting equipment to disadvantaged children in Kansas City and New England.

Our associates got in on the action by nominating youth sports programs from our local communities to receive the sports equipment. And our NFL team partners helped raise awareness of the program through player appearances at volunteer events and social
media outreach.
